Team XLR8 is the official SAE Affiliated Motorsports Club of Jadavpur University. The team started in 2017 under the supervision of Dr. Dipankar Sanyal and Dr. Achintya Mukhopadhyay and efforts of Soham De, Tamojit Maiti, Tirthadeb Ghosh and Preetam Ray. The club was conceived with a vision to infuse a passion for automobiles and gathered up momentum in its journey forward. Teeming with enthusiastic and hardworking students, we seek to explore the myriads of angles associated with Automotive Engineering and Motorsports. Our broader vision encompasses staying updated with the latest automobile technologies, projects, sectors of research work, and National level Motorsports competitions. Our passion lies in the roaring engines, the sheer speed, screeching brakes and greasy smell.
